NetHope Member Global Summit 2014 Logistics, Planning, and Vendor Coordination

Problem
Work with NetHope partners to plan an international technology conference in San Jose

Solution
Working with NetHope’s Director of Strategic Partnerships, I oversaw core components for the NetHope Member Global Summit 2014. Leading up to the conference I established and ran frequent meetings with Cisco representatives – the summit’s primary sponsor and venue host, to secure appropriate space for the event and communicated directly with the conference hotel regarding guest reservations, shipping, and special requests. In addition to liaising with partners, I managed web presences for the Summit (website, social media, and email marketing).

Days before the conference I arrived in San Jose, California to finalize last minute details with vendors and Cisco event staff. During the summit, I was the point person for all logistic questions at the conference, managed guest relations, and provided live updates via social media. Following the close of the summit, I managed final shipping of materials out of San Jose, curated key moments on social media via Storify, and led the creation of a post-event recap blog post.
