I led the Young Professionals (YoPro) group for over two years. During this time I oversaw a team of four crew members who helped with the planning and execution of the event series. Together we produced multiple events a quarter. This entailed securing sponsorship opportunities, managing an active speaker list, and marketing the event to young professionals in the Puget Sound area. Each event typically had over 20 people attend.
The YoPro group’s success eventually led the chapter to ask it to organize and host the Seattle edition of PR Gives Back, a yearly event designed to connect PR and communication professionals with nonprofit organizations to provide pro bono consulting services. The YoPro group first organized the event in 2016 and again in 2017.

Noteworthy guests included Governor Jay Inslee, King County Executive Dow Constine, and luminaries from Seattle’s business community.

I worked with social entrepreneurs daily on helping them solve business challenges and helped cultivate a thriving sense of community among Impact Hub’s members. Daily tasks ranged from helping keep the space orderly to connecting Impact Hub members to resources throughout the space and to one another.
For both the 2014 and 2015 seasons, I was a member of the marketing team. I led social media announcements and live updates on Twitter and LinkedIn. I also assisted with helping manage updates with Deborah Drake.
Working on behalf of the Delridge Neighborhood Association (DNDA) – Youngstown Cultural Art Center’s parent organization, I helped lead the development of the DNDA’s 2013 annual report.
